About
Limitless Curators Uganda Limited was founded as a curatorial company in 2021 by Balimunsi Philip as a curator to reinvent Uganda’s Visual arts archives for a twenty first century discourse. We passionately aim to facilitate visual dialogue with commitment to telling the African story in a way most easily deciphered by fellow Africans and the World at large.
Limitless Curators Uganda Limited fosters experimentation and exploration of artistic practices through innovative exhibition designs, curatorial commissions, portfolio reviews, and career development programs. Since 2022, the organization has delivered several high-profile exhibition and museum design projects, blending contemporary and historical narratives. These include the Apes of Uganda exhibition at the Uganda Museum (commissioned by Michigan University and the Uganda Museum), the redesign of the URA Museum, The Curious World of Humans exhibition, and the public screening of Restitution 101: A History of Theft (funded by Restitution Africa and the Uganda National Cultural Centre). Additionally, Limitless Curators led the conceptualization of the Kabaka Museum, funded by the Buganda Heritage and Tourism Board. Through these projects, the organization has shaped unique artistic experiences that encourage dialogue and reflection, while pushing the boundaries of Uganda’s curatorial and exhibition design landscape.
Uganda’s arts and cultural industry is marred with Poorly documented histories and shaky narratives that has incessantly frustrated audiences. Through innovative collaborations, mentorship, and the preservation of cultural heritage, we inspire the next generation to redefine their futures while honoring the past. Our Company is therefore, dedicated to re-imagination and re-interpretation of social challenges into exhibition arenas of experience through; research, creative visual documentation, space design and curation to grant viewers a glimpse into an exhibition of memories and a creative mist of conversations.
